Beautiful Day!

It's a gorgeous day here, so we decided to hit the lake again today at lunch with Daddy. Here are some pictures of Jake enjoying himself playing this morning & one at the lake...he wasn't as impressed this time. :)

Little Camper

We took Jake on his first camping trip to one of Daddy's Civil War shoots this weekend. Jake did awesome...he was an awesome traveler in the truck on the way there & home, he loved being outside, and the loud shooting noises didn't even bother him. Grandpa & Grandma W. were there too since Grandpa also shoots, and Aunt Amy came to visit for one night. Jake got to meet "Camp Grandma" Jackie and also visited with his friends Jack & Owen (and parents Neil & Emily)...and he met his cousins Mike, Sarah, and Joy! Lots of visiting!

Baptism Day

Jake was baptized Sunday...it was a special, special day! Lots of his loved ones joined us to witness it...Grandma Kennedy and Grandpa Jaime, Aunt Mari, Aunt Heather & Uncle Chris, Grandma & Grandpa Walters, Great-Great-Great Aunt Pat & Uncle Jim...and Jake's God-Parents, "Aunt" Stephanie & "Uncle" John Pinkster, with Julia and Collin. Grandpa Joe and Uncle Josh stopped by to wish him well before he was baptized too. The Pinksters stood up with us for the baptism. They vowed, like us, to teach Jake about God and walk with him on his journey to someday dedicate his life to Jesus like we all have. Jake wore a gown that was made by Grandma Kennedy out of material from my wedding dress...pretty neat! Everyone went out to lunch at TGIF afterward to celebrate. We obviously took lots of pictures! Jake was a champ during baptism too...never cried. I'm told the old wives' tale is that it means he will be extra rebellious...time will tell!

Such a beautiful baby!

I was told he had to wear SOMETHING that was "all boy" underneath that dress...so we put John Deere socks on him!

The only time he was awake during the entire service...even Pastor Paul commented that he rarely sees this boy's eyes!

What an awesome day!

Tuckered out

Happy again after a snooze at lunch

Girl Time...Ugh

Jake spent the majority of Saturday at his Aunt Heather's wedding shower, which my mom & I threw for her...he was over-loaded on girls! :) He got to visit with his Aunt Heather though, and got to meet lots of new people, including his Aunt Jen (all the way from NY!), Great-Aunt Kelly, and new friend William, who was born 6 days after him! It was a fun day!

Rough Day!

It started out a good day, but ended up being a rough day in the life of a 2 month old! Jake had his 2 month immunizations today, 5 of which were shots. Needless to say, he is tuckered out & does not have too sunny of a disposition now! :) However, I wanted to give everyone an update on his growth since his last well-child appointment:

10 Days old: 6lb 14oz, 19" long, 14 1/8" head circumference
Today, at 2 months old: 10lb 7.5oz, 22.5" long, 15.5" head circumference

We knew he was growing lots, but this just confirmed it! Way to go, Jake!

Here are a couple of pictures of our tired, grumpy boy... :)
