TGIF!

Mommy says TGIF!...because this kiddo has taken to being quite alert & awake for a couple of hours after his 4am feeding...and it's Daddy's turn on the weekend! :) We're sincerely hoping he'll grow out of that one. We have really started working on establishing Jake's schedule this week, knowing that Mommy has got to start getting some sleep in preparation for her return to work in 5 1/2 weeks! We've made a ton of progress this week, in establishing naptimes, and bedtime, but for some reason that 4am feeding keeps stumping us! :) Sorry we were without pictures for a couple days, for those who check regularly...Jake & Mommy were a bit under the weather on Wednesday (maybe from lack of sleep?!), so we are catching up from that...here are lots of pictures to make up for it!

Talking with Grandma...Grandma stopped by this morning to compare Jake's currently fitting outfits to the sizes in the pattern she has for Jake's Baptism gown, which she is making from material from Mommy's wedding dress...How Cool! (For those who are wondering, his Baptism date is still not definite...we will keep you posted...we should know for sure today or Sunday!)

And Mommy finally lets him go down for my morning nap...all swaddled..."Jakito" (Jake-Burrito, because he's all wrapped up in his Swaddle-Me blanket)

We got ear protection for Jake so he can watch Daddy shoot at the black powder shoots this summer, where we'll also be doing a lot of camping. He didn't like them much, but we have to give him the benefit of the doubt, since he had just woken up...maybe he won't mind them next time.

Jake's Weekend

The bathroom remodeling continued this weekend, so Jake & Mommy spent quite a bit of time Friday & Saturday in our new fifth wheel camping trailer (which has yet to go camping, since we just got it in November...it will get broken in for Jake's first camping trip the first weekend in May). Sunday, we made the trip to Milford with Grandma Kennedy and Aunt Mari to attend Aunt Heather's wedding shower thrown by Uncle Chris' family. The weekend concluded with a quick "hi" to Grandma Walters on the way home, since we were in her neck of the woods...and a long snooze int he truck on the way home to recover from his long day!

We were going to go walking at the mall this morning, but seconds after I took this picture, Jake decided he wanted nothing to do with that...so we unloaded to do some more cuddling...we've been doing a lot of that today :)

Wiped Out!

Jake has had a busy week! Last weekend, Jason & some friends took down the old garage. You can see where it was int he picture below...the concrete slab that remains to the left & in front of the new garage...what a different view! This week we started gutting the bathroom...one of the projects we've been wanting to do since we moved in last year. This weekend, we had help from Jake's Grandpa Walters and various other friends to remove the old fixtures and install the new ones at least to get us a functioning bathroom again for the week. We still have lots of work to do, but it's started! With all the noise & commotion, power tools, and traffic in & out of the house, as well as the visitors (Jake's Grandma Walters all weekend, and friends Paul & Paige Sunday afternoon), Jake is totally exhausted & still recovering this evening from all that activity...guess he got a little overstimulated....he gets that "easily over-stimulated" gene from his mama...oops. :)
