Growing Boy!

We have had another crazy week!

Jake had his 4 month immunizations Friday, to which he had sort of a nasty reaction. He was a very tired, grumpy boy with a low-grade fever for 2 days...grumpiness still hasn't cleared yet though. He has been very clingy to Mommy & Daddy as a result. We have gotten a couple smiles here & there though...captured below...

At his appointment Friday, he was 12 pounds 14 ounces (10-25th percentile for kids his age) and 25 inches long (50th percentile...up from 10-15th percentile last time...I KNEW he was getting long!). We have moved him into 6-9 month for the items where length matters (onesies and one-piece outfits).

Happy to be talking with Mommy while she prepares bottles for the next workday

More jumperoo fun...he just LOVES this thing!

So fascinated

Very active while he's in it - he just bats his hands & arms all over the place...gets so excited

We tried cereal for the first time last night. He wasn't too sure & pushed most of it back out with his tongue. His tummy was then pretty disturbed all night & this morning...maybe we'll wait a couple weeks & try again. He just wasn't sure what to do with it at all!

More videos for you...Jake's a noisy boy these days! :)

Happy Father's Day

Just a few pictures from this weekend...more to come, but I wanted to make a quick post for those who watch faithfully for Jake's new pictures. Along with Father's Day being Sunday, my sister got married Friday, so it was a big weekend for all of us, especially Jake who made the rounds with his relatives all weekend...he's recovering this week. :)

A few pictures of the bride are thrown in...everyone loves wedding pictures! :)

Jake's first swim...sitting on the jetski with Daddy...though Daddy & Grandpa W. have been teasing Mommy, Jake did NOT go for a ride, Grandma K....don't worry! :)

sporting his new life jacket...he actually didn't hate it, surprisingly...

in the kiddy pool Grandma W. bought Jake & cousin Alexandria for her house

Happy boy (of course...is there any other Jake?!)

Actually, he was quite grumpy this weekend with all the activity...and quite the mama's boy (which of course, I don't mind a bit, although his relatives wish he wasn't so they could visit more!)...that said, he still wasn't a "grumpy baby"...he really doesn't know how to achieve grumpy...he's just too good & happy!

The week is flying by...

Hope you are all having a good week! Our week is just flying by...we just go from one thing right to the next! We are slowly settling into the routine, I think...it's still very hard for me, but we are getting better at it a little at a time. Here are a bunch of pictures of Jake camping last weekend, when we went to Daddy's black powder shoot in Port Huron. He was such a good little camper again! :)

Getting ready to go

Been a Crazy Week!!!

It's been a crazy week! Obviously, I went back to work & Jake started at daycare this past week. Friday, Jake came down with a bad cold. He was extremely congested in his head & was coughing & sneezing a bunch...poor baby. He is feeling much better though, almost recovered...the pediatrician told us it would be up to 2 weeks before he was doing this well...it took 4 days...a tribute to breastfeeding, I think! (By breastfeeding, Jake gets antibodies from me.) Also, I put a disc out in my neck Friday...after an adjustment from the chiropractor on Saturday, I am well on my way to recovery. We got out the Jumperoo this week for Jake to start using. He can't quite hold himself up in it all by himself, but he loves it & he actually does pretty well...I don't think it will be long before he can sit in it unassisted. Also, I got to hear Jake's first giggle today. He has been SOOO close to making that noise, and he finally did today. I've been trying all day to get him to do it again, but I don't think he realizes how to do it...it just popped out this morning. Hopefully someday soon he will be doing it consistently & we can capture it on video for the blog so you can all hear it too...it was so cute!

Well, please have patience with me over the next few weeks...my posts will not be nearly as frequent, as I am currently completely overwhelmed with being back to work and trying to spend as much time with Jake now that I don't get much (relatively speaking...) - I have been in withdrawal from my boy - I can't get enough! :)

Hope you all have a good week! Jake sends his love! :)

Cute as can be
